美國(guó)伊利諾伊大學(xué)香檳分校(UIUC)Zhi-Pei Liang教授應(yīng)邀來(lái)北理工進(jìn)行訪問(wèn)交流

應(yīng)信息與電子學(xué)院邀請(qǐng),美國(guó)伊利諾伊大學(xué)香檳分校(UIUC)Zhi-Pei Liang教授于2011年11月4日下午在北京理工大學(xué)研究生樓411室開(kāi)展了“21世紀(jì)學(xué)科前沿”學(xué)術(shù)交流活動(dòng),作了題為“Fast Imaging with Sparse Sampling”的學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告,報(bào)告會(huì)由信息與電子學(xué)院院長(zhǎng)龍騰教授主持,信息與電子學(xué)院數(shù)十位教師及研究生參加了此次報(bào)告會(huì)。
Zhi-Pei Liang教授長(zhǎng)期致力于磁共振成像、超高分辨率圖像重建、生物醫(yī)學(xué)圖像分析及其應(yīng)用等方面的研究,在國(guó)際生物醫(yī)學(xué)工程領(lǐng)域享有很高的學(xué)術(shù)聲譽(yù),現(xiàn)任IEEE生物醫(yī)學(xué)工程(EMBS)主席,是IEEE、AIMBE以及ISMRM 會(huì)士。
Zhi-Pei Liang教授在報(bào)告中介紹了快速成像技術(shù)的研究現(xiàn)狀,針對(duì)圖像的稀疏性和部分可分離特性,給出了應(yīng)用壓縮感知理論和部分可分離函數(shù)理論進(jìn)行快速成像的方法,并展示了應(yīng)用實(shí)例。報(bào)告內(nèi)容豐富,思路開(kāi)闊,深入淺出地闡明了快速成像的新技術(shù),引起與會(huì)師生的強(qiáng)烈關(guān)注和濃厚的興趣,會(huì)上師生們與Zhi-Pei Liang教授進(jìn)行了充分的交流和討論。
通過(guò)這次學(xué)術(shù)交流活動(dòng),使與會(huì)人員受益匪淺,拓展了學(xué)術(shù)視野,對(duì)快速成像的技術(shù)研究現(xiàn)狀和發(fā)展前景有了更深入的了解,對(duì)選擇研究方向和開(kāi)展科學(xué)研究均有很大幫助。
Biography:
Dr. Zhi-Pei Liang received his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1989. He subsequently joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) first as a postdoctoral fellow (with the late Nobel Laureate Professor Paul Lauterbur), and then as a faculty member in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. He is currently Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Co-chair of the Integrative Imaging Theme of the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology.
Dr. Liang is a recipient of several research and teaching awards, including the NSF CAREER Award (1995), UIUC Henry Magnuski Scholar Award (1999-2001), UIUC Ronald W. Pratt Faculty Outstanding Teaching Award (2005), and the UIUC Engineering Council Award for Excellence in Advising (2006-2008). Recent work from his research group have also received several paper awards, including the Isidor I. Rabi award from the ISMRM (International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine) (2009), IEEE-ISBI Best Paper Award (2010), and IEEE-EMBC Best Paper Awards (2010, 20111). Dr. Liang was elected as Vice President (2006-2009), President-elect (2010), and President (2011-2012) of IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society. He is a Fellow of AIMBE (2005), IEEE (2006), and ISMRM (2010).
